About this Training

PCA 101: Foundations - Primary Care Advancement for Value-Based Care

This course provides an awareness-level orientation to value-based care agreements within NCQA’s Primary Care Advancement program. Learners are introduced to current value-based care agreement concepts, including prospective payment, shared savings, shared risk, capitation, attribution, quality measures, risk adjustment, health-related social needs and operational requirements for primary care transformation.

The course focuses on shared language, common agreement terms, basic performance expectations and how value-based care concepts relate to everyday primary care workflows.
