Getting to Know NCQA 100: Programs Introduction and Engagement Pathways
Learners will explore how NCQA develops and maintains standards, engages stakeholders through public comment and expert panels, and supports continuous improvement across the health care industry. The course also introduces key resources, tools, and participation opportunities that help organizations and individuals engage effectively with NCQA programs and initiatives.

By participating within this learning activity, learners will:
- Describe NCQA’s mission, vision, and role in advancing health care quality through accreditation, certification, recognition, and health outcomes programs.
- Identify the major NCQA programs and explain how they support quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and organizational excellence.
- Explain the NCQA product development process, including the purpose of public comment and stakeholder participation in standards development.
- Recognize the role of NCQA committees, expert panels, and advisory groups in maintaining evidence-based standards and continuous improvement.

Continuing Education
In support of improving patient care, the National Committee for Quality Assurance is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide Interprofessional Continuing Education for the healthcare team.
