About this Learning Activity

Delegation 201: Implementation - Standard for Accreditation

In this course covers the practical work of implementing, documenting and overseeing delegation. You’ll learn how to tell delegation apart from vendor and subdelegation arrangements, identify the required parts of a delegation agreement and decide when a pre-delegation evaluation is needed. The course also shows you how to review a delegate’s quality improvement program, spot improvement opportunities and keep documented ongoing oversight through semiannual reports, annual audits and committee review. Interactive scenario-based activities will help you apply each concept to your own oversight processes.

You’re encouraged to review Appendix 2: Delegation and Automatic Credit Guidelines as a companion reference throughout the course.
