PCMH CCEs are valued ambassadors of the patient-centered medical home. As we consider new PCMH policy changes and new opportunities to support and measure quality care, we invite CCEs to join us for a special Town Hall with NCQA Leadership and key staff to discuss new priorities and opportunities for clinicians and care delivery systems.

During this OnDemand event, we will discuss future changes to the PCMH and PCSP programs, Health Equity and Advanced Primary Care. We want to hear your honest feedback on proposed changes and programs.

NCQA is committed to innovation and helping you support your clients. Increasing opportunities for sharing information, like this Town Hall, is just one way we are working to bring more value to CCEs.

Amelia Bedri, MHSA

Amelia Bedri is currently a Policy Development Manager in Product Development at the National Committee for Quality Assurance, where she works collaboratively to organize the direction, structure and delivery of NCQA’s Health Equity Accreditation and Health Equity Accreditation Plus program, from concept to launch. Prior to joining NCQA, Ms. Bedri worked as the lead researcher for MedStar Health Corporation in Washington, DC, in the development of their community health needs assessment and was responsible for performing research, analyzing primary and secondary data, engaging community members, and providing recommendations for the final assessment report. Ms. Bedri earned her MHSA from Georgetown University and her experience working in the health care industry ranges from the hospital environment to the personal home care landscape, managed care, and consulting for health systems.

Christina Borden, PCMH CCE

Christina is the Director for Product Development for NCQA's Recognition Programs. In her eleventh year with NCQA, Christina oversees the development, implementation, and promotion of NCQA’s Recognition Programs (RP) and oversees new product design, such as the development of NCQA’s telehealth initiatives. She maintains and improves NCQA programs as clinical measures and standards change. Additionally, she works to educate stakeholders, interpret, and maintain guidelines for RP programs and ensure NCQA’s programs properly align with federal guidelines and NCQA’s mission to ensure high quality healthcare. When appropriate, Christina represents the organization publicly, including in forums for sponsors, state and federal agencies, practices, professional organizations, and other partners. Christina’s work in NCQA’s Recognition Programs has been to improve patient outcomes and provider healthcare delivery through the design and implementation of patient-centric standards. Before joining NCQA, Christina worked at the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) representing non-profit safety net health plans and, previously, as a health liaison on Capitol Hill.

Sarah Lee, PCMH CCE

Sarah Lee has been at NCQA since 2012 and is the Director, Recognition Programs, Policy and Resources. She supports the development, maintenance and update of NCQA's practice-level recognition and state-specific certification programs. She also focuses on providing both internal staff and external customers with the resources needed to clearly understand recognition program processes and requirements. Prior to this role, she was a manager of Government Recognition Initiatives where she oversaw the review process for federal qualified health centers and military facilities pursuing NCQA recognition. Sarah graduated from the University of California San Diego with a B.A. in International Studies, Economics. She received her M.P.A with a focus on Policy Analysis and Evaluation from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

 

Frank Micciche

Frank Micciche is NCQA’s Vice President of Public Policy and External Relations. In this position, he directs NCQA’s relations with Congress, federal agencies and the states, as well as NCQA’s work with employers, associations, corporate sponsors and the media. He most recently served as the lead staffer on the Taskforce on Telehealth Policy, co- convened by NCQA, the Alliance for Connected Care and the American Telemedicine Association.

Micciche was formerly the Vice President for Partnerships and Coalitions at the Campaign to Fix the Debt, a nonpartisan collaboration of prominent public and private sector leaders and more than 350,000 grassroots supporters working to address the nation’s fiscal imbalance. Prior to this position, he was a Senior Advisor on health reform at McKenna, Long & Aldridge, LLP and worked for the New America Foundation think tank.

Micciche’s service in the public sector includes his time as a legislative director for the House Minority Leader in Massachusetts and as a federal liaison for Governor John Engler of Michigan. He served for four years as the Director of State-Federal Relations for Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA), where he led the Commonwealth’s Washington, DC, office and advised the governor on federal policy issues, with a focus on health care reform.

Micciche holds a master’s degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Tufts University.

Ashley Turner, MBA

Ashley Turner is a Program Manager and operational lead for Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Content Expert Certification (CEC) program in the Education department of National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). She was previously the senior executive assistant of two vice presidents, a technical analyst and health care analyst at NCQA. For more than 15 years, she has acted as an analyst, meeting planner and event coordinator providing excellent internal and external customer service and support. Ashley continues to work with multiple departments within NCQA including Public Policy and Operations. Her goal is to continue working with those passionate about improving health care. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland GC and a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion from James Madison University.
