This on demand series is a comprehensive overview of the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) broken into four, self-paced online modules. In this series, you will learn basic HEDIS terminology, audit compliance process, review various HEDIS data tools and resources and review HEDIS clinical and survey measures.
Modular Titles
Module 1 – What is HEDIS? (Audio Running Time: 25 mins)
Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Outline how a HEDIS measure is developed
- Describe the HEDIS measures & their domains
Module 2 – HEDIS Compliance Audit (Audio Running Time: 45 mins)
Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Review the Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set (HEDIS®) Compliance audit process
- Review the process to submit HEDIS data to NCQA
Module 3 – HEDIS Data Sources (Audio Running Time: 20 mins)
Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Describe types of data
- Review the Administrative Data Collection Method
- Review the Hybrid Data Collection Method & Sampling Guidelines
- Discuss implementing HEDIS data collection and reporting
- Discuss the Administrative vs. Hybrid Method
- Discuss medical record review tips
Module 4 – HEDIS Data Tools and Resources (Audio Running Time: 25 mins)
Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Describe different ways HEDIS data can be used
