Kashyap Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is board certified in Hematology, Oncology, and Internal Medicine. He completed his residency at Jamaica Hospital in New York City and his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has been with Carolina Blood and Cancer Care since its inception in February 2004. He previously worked with Tri County Oncology since 2002. He is an active member of the South Carolina Oncology Society. Dr. Patel has been awarded several national awards from ASCO for his research in melanoma. He has authored several research articles and has presented at numerous national and international meetings. He also has been a member of the CME committee of SCMA and NCAPI. He is also the past president of GCAPI and the Charlotte chapter of AAPI.
Susanne Madden, MBA, PCMH CCE
Susanne Madden is founder and CEO of The Verden Group, a consulting firm that helps practices navigate through the increasingly complex business of health care. Prior to Verden, she was with UnitedHealthcare managing physician network and spent several years as an independent health care consultant specializing in business development, revenue cycle remediation, vendor management and process improvement. Ms. Madden was a pediatric practice administrator and surgical practice billing manager, she understands the many different challenges facing practices today. Ms. Madden writes frequently and speaks regularly on the business aspects of health care and is frequently quoted in industry and media publications.
Lori Francis, PCMH CCE
Lori is a PCMH Certified Content Expert with more than ten years of health care experience in public hospital, private/teaching clinics and insurance providers. Lori works at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee as a PCMH Provider Consultant for the East Region of Tennessee. Prior to that, Lori worked for East Tennessee State University as a Clinical Services Coordinator for nine years. In her role as Clinical Services Coordinator and Provider Performance Consultant, she has facilitated the PCMH model of care, through collaboration with practices’ staff and providers to implement policies, procedures, and protocols, streamline workflows, and develop an EHR template. Lori was one of the NCQA 2017 – 2018 PCMH CCE Quality Award honorees.
