Roadmap to the Future: Leveraging Electronic Clinical Data for Quality Measurement
NCQA is embarking on a mission to enhance quality measurement by enabling technical specifications to use standardized electronic clinical data captured during care delivery and exchanged using standard formats and measure logic. In this course, we discuss the path forward for leveraging electronic clinical data for measurement and care improvement.
While not required, learners may find it helpful to attend live, or view the recording of, the NCQA Digital Quality Primer Session being offered on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 prior to attending the Roadmap to the Future – Leveraging Electronic Clinical Data for Quality Measurement on November 10, 2021. Fern McCree, MPH
Fern McCree is a Senior Research Associate in the Performance Measurement department at NCQA. Ms. McCree leads maintenance and development of quality performance measures for NCQA. She manages ongoing work to develop and promote NCQA’s electronic measurement strategy. Ms. McCree holds a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University and a Bachelor in Science in Public Health Administration from Temple University.
Emily Morden, MSW
Emily Morden is a Senior Health Care Analyst in the Performance Measurement Department at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
She is responsible for the development and maintenance of HEDIS measures primarily addressing geriatric and behavioral health care. Emily also works on efforts to develop and evaluate performance measures for the Medicare Advantage Part C Plan Rating program, working in collaboration and consultation with internal and external advisory panels in order to inform measure development.
Emily has over 10 years of experience working in the health care field. Prior to coming to NCQA, Emily was an Associate Program Officer at the Institute of Medicine and worked on several studies examining the quality of health care services for military service members and veterans. Prior to this, Emily worked in clinical roles as a medical social worker for hospice programs and as a counselor in both adult and adolescent mental health treatment facilities.
Emily holds an M.S.W. degree from Portland State University and a B.A. in sociology from the University of Oregon.
This live course grants 1.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) points for PCMH Certified Content Experts.
